About The Original Artwork

This is Roberta’s first piece of 2020 – it took her 150 hours, over the course of two months. It is also the first piece in her new collection “The Age of Time” belonging to her series of works “Reflections”. It is the epitome of the meditative and therapeutic nature of her art, also a tribute to the most sacred, beloved and ancient “things” on Earth – trees, and ultimately a look back into human history, dating back as many years as there are age rings. In a way the artist wishes to speak of time in its beauty – for great things take time – through a celebration of trees that have been with us since the beginning of times, and by looking back to events in history that helped lift up humanity and move us forward. This works comprises of about 660 rings and it dates back to the 1350’s, a time that in Europe saw the beginning of the Renaissance.
